Corporal Jared W. Kubasak, U.S. Army 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment, Fort Carson, CO was killed on December 12, 2005 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his M2A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle while patrolling near Baghdad.
Jared was a very close friend of mine. He was more like a brother and I miss him dearly. His life, and ultimately his death, changed me forever and I am a better person for knowing him.
Kupkakery started out as a way for me to give back or contribute to my family. My husband Paul and I decided that when we had our second child, I would stay at home with both of them. In 2010, I started making kakes and kupkake bouquets for family and friends as a way to make extra money. One thing lead to another and Kupkakery was started in 2012.
Kupkakery is and always will be about family. God has blessed us over the past several years and we have had the privilege to be a part of so many people's special occasions. That is something that we do not take for granted, and is the driving force behind our company.
So... why K? The first K in Kupkakery is for Kendall Addison, our first born. The second K is for Kadence Grace-Nicole, our second. The third K is for Kubasak.
